Welcome to the Women in Podcasting Show. I'm your host Jennifer Henczel. In today's episode, I talk about various awards for podcasters and the reason to participate.
You know what we need more of? Cheering on women who are bravely showing up and sharing their message. The more spotlights we shine on women’s stories, the better. That’s why today, I want to chat about embracing every opportunity to lift each other up and shine even brighter—together. And one powerful way we do that is through awards.
Honoring women’s voices isn’t something we can overdo—there’s always room for more. We all rise when we celebrate each other’s voices—and I’m here for all of it. Awards are one way we do that. I'm talking about Podcast Awards, Business Awards, and awards from whatever niche you're in.
The world needs more moments that honor women’s words, wisdom, and worth. Every time we celebrate a woman’s voice, we make space for more power, more truth, more change. There’s always room for more love and more light on women’s stories.
I welcome every opportunity to elevate women’s voices, globally and in the podcasting space. So, yes, I’m all in when it comes to awards. In my world, celebrating women’s voices isn’t optional—it’s essential. So let’s lean into every opportunity to celebrate each other.
With all that in mind, today, I want to share 3 aspects on this topic of Awards, with you:
I have 2 favors to ask + a helpful resource I've created just for you.
First….
Favor #1: Please vote for me in the 20th Annual Podcast Awards. It's for my podcast the “Women in Podcasting Show” in the “Best Female Hosted Podcast” category. It's free to vote, but voting is only open until July 31st:

Thank you! I really appreciate it. To clarify, while you may know me from running the Women Podcasters Awards, this time I’m honored to be on the other side as a nominee, in this other awards event.
The Podcast Awards is regarded as the top awards event in the podcasting space. It's an incredible event and community founded by podcasting trailblazer Todd Cochrane.
Last year, I was thrilled to win in the Business Podcast category. The momentum brought thousands of new visitors to the Women Podcasters Network—boosting visibility not only for me, but for our entire community. It truly was a ripple effect of impact.
Favor #2: Exciting news! The Bliss Business Awards are officially live! This is an awards similar to the Women Podcasters Awards, but it has a broader scope, in that it’s for entrepreneurs, coaches, speakers, authors, and there’s a category for podcasters.
Angela Feser has been a vital part of its success behind the scenes of the Women Podcasters Awards. Now, she has launched this new awards event that's all about celebrating coaches, speakers, authors, creators and there's even a podcast category! While I had some influence, this is Angela’s baby,
So, my ask is, please take a look at the Bliss Business Awards here:

Nominations are only $20! This opportunity is packed with value that far exceeds the price tag ✨

And if you feel compelled, submit your nomination. Just like the Women Podcasters Awards, it is low cost at only $20 per nomination, and it is packed with value, far beyond the price tag. She’s created some really inspired categories.
The Women Podcasters Awards has been going very well. We’re heading into our third year, and I’m so thankful for how well it has been received in the podcasting industry, and I know that the Bliss Business Awards will be a similar asset in the greater entrepreneurial community. If you enjoyed my awards, you will love the Bliss Business Awards run by Angela Feser (aka my awesome sister 😊).
That was me receiving my trophy after winning in the 2024 Podcast Awards. 👇 It was an absolute thrill to win! This year I'm a sponsor and nominee in the Best Female Hosted Podcast.
"Guess what I received today?! It’s here—my award has arrived! I won in the Business category of the People’s Choice Podcast Awards for my Women in Podcasting Show. Thank you to everyone in my community who voted for me. I appreciate all my listeners and I create content just for you. Also, a special shoutout and thank you to Todd Cochrane and the Podcast Awards team. The People’s Choice Podcast Awards is the longest-standing and most established awards program in the podcasting space, founded by Todd Cochrane." See my Facebook Post.
#3 I created for you: a list awards for podcasters.
Participating in awards is a powerful way to gain visibility and receive recognition for your podcasting efforts. Whether you’re just starting out or already established, awards can help expand your reach, showcase your work, and deepen connections with your audience. Check out my post and episode on the Benefits of participating in Awards for Podcasters to learn more about how this can move the needle for your show.
One common barrier for many podcasters is cost. Some award programs can be expensive to enter. That’s why, when we created the Women Podcasters Awards we made sure to keep the entry fee as low as possible. We believe recognition should be accessible and community-driven.
That said, it’s still helpful to know what opportunities are out there. There are so many ways to grow your audience, establish credibility, and build community through podcast awards of all kinds.
So if you’re ready to explore what’s possible, check out our curated list of podcast awards below.
Participating in podcast awards can boost your visibility, build credibility, and strengthen your connection with both your audience and the industry. Even without a win, awards create valuable opportunities for growth, collaboration, and recognition—while opening doors to new listeners, guests, partnerships, and monetization possibilities.
Awards are a powerful way to create deeper engagement, foster community, and spark meaningful conversations around your message.
People’s choice-style awards allow you to rally your audience, encouraging listeners to engage, vote, and share—turning passive listeners into enthusiastic advocates.
Audience-voted awards foster stronger connections between creators and communities, creating moments of collaboration and celebration.
Jury-based awards provide a space for craft recognition and critical validation from industry professionals.
Some awards are designed to uplift underrepresented voices.
